We at headspace Bunbury believe that family and friends play an important role in a young person's journey to better wellbeing.

As such, our services are focused on including the young person's important others as much as possible and in line with the young person's wishes.

Welcome Pack

It can be difficult to know how to support your young person when they start engaging in mental health counselling at our service.

If you are supporting a young person experiencing mental wellbeing concerns, check out our welcome pack here.

Family and Friends Reference group

To ensure that our centre is remaining family and friends inclusive and support, headspace Bunbury hosts a Family and Friends (F&F) reference group to be able to meet with community members and get their feedback and ideas for the centre. The headspace Family and Friends Reference Group is made up of members with lived experience of supporting a young person through headspace services.

Meetings are held on the last Tuesday of the month from 3.30pm to 4.30pm.

If you would like to come along, please get in touch by calling us on (08) 6164 0680 or emailing info@headspacebunbury.org.au

Family and Friends Support Counselling Sessions

To continue the support of family and friends, we offer sessions to anyone who is needing support while they are supporting a young person. These are free and available with our Clinical Coordinator and Centre Manager. For more information regarding these sessions or to book one, please contact our team on (08) 6164 0680 or email info@headspacebunbury.org.au

Other resources for Family and Friends

The headspace website has a dedicated section to family and friends to be able to support you supporting your young person through their journey. You can check it out here

Our Youth Reference Group is a group of young people aged 15-25 who are passionate about mental health and are interested in helping to promote headspace Bunbury to the local community.

As a member, your voice will be not only heard but your input will be acted upon within the centre. You will help us to organise and run youth events in the local community and have the opportunity to network and create contacts in the industry that can help you throughout your working life.

This group is an awesome way to meet other young people with the same passion and enthusiasm for mental health issues as you!

Meetings are held monthly after hours – although there may be extra meetings when planning events and projects.
