headspace Berri Scavenger Hunt

Across the Riverland from 10th October to 25th October. Free, opportunity to win prizes.

The headspace Berri hERO group have created a scavenger hunt for young people aged 12-25 to get back out into the community and celebrate 2020 headspace day this October. The theme of this year’s headspace day will highlight the seven tips for a healthy headspace and encourage young people to take time to do something positive for their mental health.

Letters to Blue

Virtual experience over email from 10th to 17th October. Free.

Poetry for the Terrified

Virtual workshop over Zoom 10th October, 2-4pm. $8 per person. 

Poetry can be a powerful form of self-expression and is a great way to support wellbeing—improving mood, strengthening cognitive health and fostering positive self-reflection.

This Mental Health Week, mindshare is hosting an online poetry workshop led by spoken word legends Alison Paradoxx and Wallis Prophet from Draw Your (S)words.

Soundwalks

Barmera in-person experience 10th or 11th October. Free. 

Deep listening takes practice. This Mental Health Week join composer-performer and sound artist Dr Jesse Budel for a sound walk in Barmera to tune in and listen deeply to the environments we take for granted. Each sound walk will include: a briefing to learn more about sound and sound walks, a gentle quiet walk in a small group followed by a debrief about what you heard.

Mindshare Insta take-overs

Virtual experience on Instagram 10th to 17th October. Free.
